This is my graphic portion of our Dialog project, my idea consisting of octagonal structures and a diagram of my sketch model.

Dialog: sketch model

This is my very first sketch model of our Dialog project, using the same materials as the Unity project, just a different task is at hand. We have to create 2 spaces that flow and somehow create unity.

People In Architectural Spaces

These five drawings are my attempts at people in architectural spaces. On a couple of them i focused more on the person and room in detail, and the others i focused more on the person instead of the whole space.

3-D Model

From our final 4 squares, we had to create 3-D models portraying each of the squares. This was my best model, in which i did my orthographic drawing of.

4-Square

These are my final 4 squares in a series of drawings of squares, depicting sticks and cell phones.

Morning Exercise: People

This was my very first attempt at drawing people. My fellow classmates were the subjects, for one of our morning exercises.

Unity: Bridge

The top two pictures are of my very first sketch model for this project. 12 skewers and 12 bristol board planes to express Unity. My very first idea and inspiration was a bridge, and with the materials given, i did my best to portray that.

Orthographic: Cube

This is my orthographic drawing for our cube project that we had to do. Bristol board planes and straws, on a 12 x 12 base.

Mary Foust Building

This is my sketch of the Mary Foust Building at UNCG. The building is so unique and architecturally interesting it was fun to sketch.

Special Container

Stage 1:
Stage 2:Stage 3:Stage 4:
This project was to create a container to hold a special object, only using fabric, paper, and thread. I created a bag to contain my boyfriends ring, using blue fabric from his pants, waxy paper to hold the ring, and thread to stitch it all together. My idea of the bag has gone through numerous stages to get where it is and I am pleased with how it has turned out.

First Environmental Design Project

These are pictures of my very first Environmental Design project; the goal of the assignment being to join two natural artifacts with a linear material. When I began the project, I decided to base it around the leaf; I found it first while walking around campus. It's uniqueness and diversity from all the other leaves had inspired me, and ideas immediately started flowing. I got the idea to mimic a fan and looked for 'Y' shaped sticks. I didn't have any luck finding any the right width, but I stuck with this one and it seems to work. To join them, I used an earthtone colored hair tie.

First Post: Blog Review

After viewing several peers' blogs, one in particular stood out to me, Andrea Joseph. Her work is amazing. Andrea's blog is simple and easy to follow, and as viewer I understand what it is I am looking at. The amount of intricacy and detail in her drawings shows a couple of things. One, she has talent. Two, she pays close attention to her subject..extremely close attention. I am now a fan of Andrea Joseph. http://www.andreajoseph24.blogspot.com/
